Hailing from Seattle, land of post punk and grunge, Loud Sleepers have a sound of their own. There’s pleasantly distorted guitars, catchy songwriting, and the voice of Steven Cole Smith is resonant and clear.

Their brand new single, “Sick Of The City,” captures that longing all of us have for the serenity of nature, particularly in those moments when we’re caught in heavy traffic on a sweltering day. In addition to top-notch musicianship and punchy production, the music of Loud Sleepers features clever lyrics and messages making their songs worthy of repeat play.

“Sick Of The City” Is From The Debut Album By Loud Sleepers, Anything’s Impossible.

Smith adds guitars, as does Tyler Gibson, with drums by Blake West and bass guitar by Chris Elizaga. The humorous video finds the four lads making their vacation dreams come true, despite being thwarted temporarily by an engine fire, a Bigfoot sighting, and an encounter with a flying saucer.

There’s lots to love here, and from a guitars perspective, there’s a wonderful wall of sound that’s rich and melodic. The writing is excellent too. I look forward to the release of Loud Sleeper’s debut album, Anything’s Impossible, on AndVinyl Records. It’s coming August 28.
